The main benefits & features of Scapa 2501 PIB Self Amalgamating Tape:
Scapa 2501 is a professional-grade PIB self amalgamating tape made from polyisobutylene rubber. This flexible self amalgamating tape forms a strong, waterproof seal on cables and joints. When stretched, the PIB self amalgamating tape fuses to itself and creates a solid layer that blocks moisture and corrosion. Technicians trust Scapa 2501 because it gives long-lasting insulation and mechanical protection in every job.
The brand Scapa is known worldwide for quality tapes that perform in demanding environments. The 2501 PIB model continues that tradition with reliable electrical performance and long-term stability. This amalgamating tape performs in extreme conditions. It remains stable from –40 °C to +90 °C and resists UV, ozone and seawater. The non-vulcanising PIB rubber lets the self amalgamating tape be removed easily when required. Despite easy removal, Scapa 2501 grips tightly and produces a void-free finish. Each 25mm × 10m black roll supplies enough PIB self amalgamating tape for many joints and repairs.
As part of the trusted Scapa self amalgamating tape range, this product works perfectly with Scapa PVC electrical tapes. It supports cable systems up to 46 kV. The waterproof self amalgamating tape delivers dependable insulation for electrical, marine and outdoor use. Installers use Scapa 2501 for repairs where ordinary tapes fail. The amalgamating tape also protects metal pipework and connectors from corrosion. Professionals choose the 2501 PIB series because it combines flexibility and strength with outstanding waterproof sealing.
The smooth black finish of Scapa 2501 gives every job a clean, professional look. Because the cable jointing tape seals instantly, it saves time on site. The PIB self amalgamating tape works with polyethylene, XLPE, EPR, PVC and neoprene insulation. It is the preferred Scapa self amalgamating tape for electrical engineers who need strength and waterproof protection. Each layer of this waterproof self amalgamating tape merges into a single, flexible sheath that stays secure for years.
How to Use:
Clean the cable or surface before application. Cut a strip of Scapa 2501 and peel off the plastic liner. Stretch the PIB self amalgamating tape slightly and wrap it around the joint with a 50 % overlap. Keep tension as you wrap to create a smooth, even layer. Press the end firmly to bond the self amalgamating tape. The Scapa self amalgamating tape quickly fuses into one waterproof cable jointing tape seal that insulates and protects against moisture and voltage stress.
